Professor Karol Jackowski
Dr. Karol Jackowski has obtained the degrees of B.Sc., Ph.D. and D.Sc. from the University of Warsaw in Poland. He is permanently employed there at the Faculty of Chemistry. Dr. Jackowski was a postdoc at the University of Sheffield (Great Britain) in 1976-1977 and a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago Circle (USA) in 1983-1985. He is currently a Full Professor of Physical Chemistry and a head of the Laboratory of NMR Spectroscopy at the University of Warsaw. His research involves experimental spectroscopic studies of intermolecular interactions and molecular dynamics, mostly in the gas phase with the application of multinuclear NMR methods. Dr. Jackowski was a member of the ISMAR Council in 2007-2013, a Visiting Professor at the University of Western Sydney in 2011 and a consultant of the International Atomic Energy Agency in Vienna for the evaluation of nuclear magnetic moments in 2017. He is a member of the editorial boards of the International Journal of Spectroscopy and the American Journal of Physical Chemistry.
